About Algeria

Algeria is the largest country in Africa by area and the tenth largest worldwide.

Its geography is dominated by the Sahara, which accounts for most of the territory and is largely uninhabited.

The northern region along the Mediterranean features a milder climate with historical cities such as Algiers and Constantine, known for its bridges and festivals. Southern towns like Tamanrasset provide access to desert landscapes and national parks with prehistoric rock art.
